During the summer months, the task force held its second workshop, building on the initial inventory and taking the discussion one step further: how can ESG criteria actually be reflected in the parameters used across the main valuation approaches?
Members also worked to simplify and streamline the criteria, drawing on the experience and best practices shared across the group.
The shared toolkit is now being updated based on this input.
This Friday, the task force meets again.
Building on our discussion from the second workshop, members will review the updated inventory together and work towards validating the first version ready for testing.
This is an important milestone in the process: moving from identifying the relevant ESG factors towards developing a practical methodology that can be tested in real-world valuation practice.
The ambition remains the same: to develop a common Belgian approach that helps make the relationship between sustainability and asset value more consistent, transparent and meaningful for the market.
A big thank you to all our members for staying engaged and for the time, expertise and critical thinking you are putting into this work.
Next stop: validation — and then testing.
