BGBC EPB harmonisation

Dialogue on EPB harmonisation continues in Brussels
The discussion on greater coherence in EPB/PEB methodologies is now firmly on the political agenda across regions.

Following our recent meeting with the Vlaamse overheid (namely Kabinet Bonte, Viceminister-president, Vlaams minister van Wonen, Energie en klimaat, Toerisme en Jeugd), BGBC has now continued the conversation in Brussels.

Yesterday; we met with Brussels Environment, together with Febelfin, Embuild.Brussels, and UPSI-BVS, to discuss our joint position paper in the context of the revised EPBD.

Across regions, there is growing recognition of the need for greater coherence in EPB/PEB methodologies — to enhance clarity for citizens and investors, better guide renovation efforts and mobilise private capital as public budgets tighten.

We welcome this constructive engagement and remain committed to helping translate interregional dialogue into tangible progress.
