TrendsEPB

We welcome the fact that the call for greater coherence in EPB/PEB methodologies is now being taken up at political level.

Following our position paper and the broader public debate, several ministers and administrations have indicated their willingness to engage in dialogue on interregional coordination, in the context of the revised EPBD.

Today BGBC met with the cabinet of Flemish Minister of Living, Energy and Climate, Hans Bonte, together with Febelfin, Buildwise, Embuild Vlaanderen, @Belfa and UPSI-BVS to discuss our joint position paper.

This is an important first step. A more aligned EPB framework is not about uniformity for its own sake, but about:
- clarity and comparability for citizens and investors
- better steering of renovation efforts
- mobilising private capital as public budgets tighten

Together with our partners across the construction, real estate and financial sectors, we stand ready to contribute pragmatically to this process and help translate dialogue into concrete progress.
