Late August, BGBC’s General Director Gilles Vanvolsem met with
the cabinet of Flemish Minister of Energy and Climate Melissa Depraetere to introduce our Framework for Climate Adaptive Buildings (FCAB) and discuss how we can turn climate risks into practical action.
Buildings are increasingly exposed to overheating, flooding, water stress and extreme weather. The FCAB provides a practical framework to help stakeholders identify relevant risks, assess their impact and make informed adaptation choices.
Developed collectively with BGBC members, the framework aims to support a shared, practical approach to climate adaptation across Belgium’s building sector. https://lnkd.in/ebcRu8T9
Bringing the framework into dialogue with policymakers is an important step towards more resilient, future-proof buildings.
