Following a press release BGBC has circulated earlier this month, Trends Z approached our President of the Board, Isabelle De Bruyne, for an interview about the EU Taxonomy Guidance for buildings in Belgium
“What the Belgian Green Building Council has done is translate the EU Taxonoy rules into simple language so that they are actually applied,” she explains.
Adopting this framework remains voluntary for banks, but the advantages are real: better rates, stronger loan applications, and easier access to financing.
As Isabelle De Bruyne emphasizes, “the more sustainable you are, the more likely you are to benefit.”
