We have just shared our BGBC position paper on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) harmonisation with the TOTEM Building team, ahead of this Tuesday’s consultation session.
This document is the result of a collective effort across our membership, bringing together expertise from the full real estate value chain.
The position paper outlines benefits of working with a methodology, rather than a tool, followed by targeted recommendations for the future development of the methodology and the TOTEM tool, viewed from two main perspectives; material producers and design, construction, and assessment teams.
Our aim is clear: to contribute constructively and collaboratively to the important work carried out by the three Regions on the future LCA methodology and tools.
