Air-quality measurement network
One of Airscan’s projects is the Clean Air Alliance. What is the Clean Air Alliance? It is a kind of co-creation of an air-quality measurement network, with the goal of improving air-quality data in Belgium.
So, we work with many companies, cities, and municipalities to install a large number of air-quality sensors across Belgium, in order to provide the data needed to develop everything required for Smart Cities, Smart Buildings, and Smart Ventilation. Because without good data, there is no “smart.”
Today, quite a number of companies have already joined us, such as AG Real Estate, Interparking, Belfius, Delhaize, UPSI, Cofinimmo, and RTL. So this is also a call to other companies, cities, and municipalities to join the Clean Air Alliance to help create the best air-quality measurement network in Belgium.
Benefits
The advantages of good air-quality data are that it allows buildings to ventilate better - resulting in better air quality for employees, better health, less absenteeism, and naturally, more efficient ventilation, which can also mean ventilating less. This can lead to significant energy savings.
