Sustainability starts long before construction begins. By reimagining existing industrial sites and leveraging strategic locations, the design phase becomes a key driver of impact. Thoughtful material choices and forward-looking construction methods significantly lower each building’s carbon footprint. Energy efficiency, comfort, and adaptability are woven into every visible and invisible detail. This integrated approach reveals how a vision for sustainable development is shaping the buildings of the future.

Sustainable in Development

Our approach to sustainable development  actually starts right at the design stage of a project, where we focus on redeveloping existing sites, like former industrial areas and contaminated land, because these locations are often well-situated and strategically interesting, with good access to power grids and other infrastructure.

By revitalising these areas, we can reconnect the neighbourhood and bring it back to life.

Sustainable in Construction

Then we move on to the design. For this specific building, we carried out several lifecycle analyses of different designs, which led us to choose a timber frame, CLT construction, significantly reducing the building’s carbon footprint.

There are other less visible elements  as well, like X-Carb steel beams, made from around 80-90% recycled steel. We also use high-density insulation panels. Only a few of the many strategies we apply in the design to create a building with a very low carbon footprint.

Sustainable in use

Beyond the building’s construction, we focus on energy efficiency. for ourselves and to support our clients to use energy as efficiently as possible.

We consider daylight access, which improves comfort for occupants, and we minimise air leakage through unwanted gaps and cracks. For instance, our charging stations are carefully sealed. We also use LED lighting, controlled by motion sensors to save energy.

Space for Growth

Our philosophy is “space for growth,” meaning we aim to provide enough space for both ourselves and our clients. This includes designing our buildings  so they are ready for future vertical expansions. We’re building upwards more and more, adding parking decks on top, making optimal use of land. We continue to focus on energy efficiency and storage.

In the future, we plan to integrate water storage and generation features into our buildings. These are all elements we’ll continue to integrate. We firmly believe that a sustainable mindset is the only way to continue building a better future.
